Previously everyone of them was forwarded to my personal email. On that I had set up root folders for each organisation with up to 5 levels of sub-folders on some of them. Rules sent emails to the approriate root folder. I then changed to making the 4 non-private root folders to accounts using IMAP and 'ruled' the emails to my private inbox. I have now bitten the bullet and want to move all my non-private root folders to it's approriate account. So, from what you say, I add the root folders I want to the root of each account.
I then wait for sync to set them up on the server. Once they appear I then move all the emails and sub-folders to the new empty root folder. This will be a long task as there are over 50 top level sub-folders with probably over sub-folders, I really do hope if I move a first level sub-folder it takes all its subordinate folders too.
I am pedantic, I will move a few folders at a time, check they have synced, check the right number of files have appeared on the server, send a test email to check etc. Is that what I should do? I have created a new folder in the account but it is not showing up in the IMAP folders list, I don't have the 'show subscribed folders only' ticked.
